Meet Our Team

June Sherman, Receptionist. June is the 70 year old mother of Dr. Karen Sherman. She resides in Anderson, MO on a farm where she and her husband of 51 years, Clyde Sherman, raise beef cattle. June has one dog, one cat and several chickens. A retired caseworker at McDonald County Family Services she has worked at Oak View Animal Clinic since its establishment in 1992.

Sandy Walker, Receptionist. Sandy loves to greet our clients and their pets. A lifelong resident of Pea Ridge, Sandy joined our team at Oak View Animal Clinic in 1999. She and her husband Franklin live on a farm where they raise beef cattle, have one donkey and a Llama. Sandy and Franklin have 3 grown children who also live in Northwest Arkansas, and they enjoy their  grandchildren. Sandy retired as a Girl Scout Leader after 28 years.

Kathy Bass, Receptionist. Kathy lives in Pea Ridge and has been a part of Oak View Animal Clinic for one year. Kathy has one adult son and 2 grandchildren. Kathy spends her free time shopping.

Michelle Ewan, Registered Veterinary Technician. Michelle has been a part of the team at Oak View Animal Clinic since September 2001. After graduating from Maple Woods Community College in 2000, she moved to Anderson, Mo where she still resides with two dogs, Wyatt and Dallas and one cat, Dillon. Michelle also has two registered American Quarter Horses, and spends her free time showing in western events. She has one adult son who also lives in Southwest Missouri and enjoys spending time with her family. Michelle also enjoys swimming, camping and quilting.

Shandra Freeston, Veterinary Assistant. Shandra is a lifelong resident of Bentonville. She joined our team in 2007 and loves her work here with our client’s pets. Shandra and her husband Cameron have 4 children and 1 dog, Buddy. She and her family spend their free time with friends and they enjoy camping and fishing.

Wacey Williams, Veterinary Assistant. Wacey has been a part of our team since 2009. She and her husband Adam live in Pea Ridge with their Catahoula named Blue, and enjoy all western events.

Kyla Noland, Kennel Assistant. Kyla is the newest member of our team, joining us in March 2011. She and her husband recently moved to Pea Ridge with their son. Kyla loves animals and enjoys her job, caring for our clients animals while they stay with us. Kyla plans to eventually go to college to become a registered veterinary technician.

Wes Harper, Kennel Assistant. Wes has been with Oak View Animal Clinic for one year. He is a senior at Pea Ridge High School and plans to join the marine corp when he graduates. Wes is the president of the Pea Ridge FFA, enjoys hunting and being outside.

Dr. Karen Sherman; Owner of Oak View Animal Clinic. Dr Sherman was raised in Pineville, MO and received her Animal Science Degree at the University of Arkansas, Fayeteville and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University, School of Veterinary Medicine. She has lived in Pea Ridge since 1990 and has a Shih Tzu named Shadd, a Great Dane named Brutus, a cat named P.M., three miniature horses, and a pet cow named Roxeanne. Along with managing the business, Dr. Sherman is active in many local organizations and veterinary organizations. Her hobbies include swimming, walking her dogs, observing many forms of wildlife and visiting friends.
